It All Started with a Bang...

Who we are...

The Charm City Kitty Club is a collectively run cabaret designed to foster, showcase and celebrate creative expression among lesbian, dyke, bisexual, transgender, transsexual and genderqueer individuals as well as our allies. Our goal is to serve as a catalyst for connection and a forum for discussion through the arts.

Through its vision of a welcoming and respectful environment for all communities, CCKC is committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere free from racism, classism, ageism, ableism, biphobia, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, cultural appropriation and censorship. Audiences and performers are asked to participate in the creation of this open and non-oppressive environment. All genders are welcome and encouraged to attend.

As a collective, the Charm City Kitty Club functions by way of the hundreds of volunteer hours put in by a core group of inter-generational “Kitties” each year. Some Kitties stay with the collective for a couple of years and others have been with us since the 3rd show. Each Kitty brings a unique set of talents that allows our collective to keep pushing boundaries with our audiences. The common thread amongst all Kitties is a passion for creative queer space and community.
